Mantecorp is a Brazilian company which resulted from a 17 year joint-venture between Schering-Plough Corporation and a national investor (the Mantegazza family) who as of December 2006 has assumed full autonomy and control of the company.
Nowadays Mantecorp is looking for partnerships & alliances for licensing and developing new products. Its expertise in this very unique and expressive market has made it possible for Mantecorp to be ranked 13th in units, 8th in value (US$ 230 million of Net Sales) and 3rd in prescriptions , achieving the leadership in 5 therapeutic classes in the Brazilian market.
During the joint-venture period, the company has developed some important key qualitative strength as following:

The company has been visiting 80.000 Medical Doctors, 15.000 point of sales as well as many other public and private institutions throughout its more than 500 Representatives. The company has been also manufacturing more than 100 million units of medicines in its own plant placed in Rio de Janeiro.
Mantecorp is made by 3 Business Units as following:
- Primary Care: Respiratory, Dermatology, Orthopedics and Neurology are the main areas currently covered by the company
- Specialty Care: biotechnology products focused on specialists as Rheumatologists and Gastroenterologists.
- Consumer: over-the-counter medicines, including sun care, cough & cold and nasal decongestants as well as vitamins.
