Our Icon

The heron is Mantecorp's icon. In some cultures it expresses concepts such as freedom, prosperity and longevity, on the dot with some of the values that the company hopes to see present in its daily activities. The other reason for turning the bird into the company's symbol has an affective origin. That is because, many years ago, a heron chose the artificial lake of Mantecorp's manufacturing facility as its dwelling place, in Jacarepaguá, in Rio de Janeiro.

Since then, it was "adopted" by the unit's collaborators who fed and took care of its well-being. Considered as an every-day companion, it is integrating part of the daily routine of the unit.

The profound identification with collaborators and the attributes associated to its name rendered the heron the perfect translation as Mantecorp's icon.
